Pricing questions
What counts as one credit?
One credit processes one km² of Sentinel-2 imagery in standard regions — regardless of whether you use S2DR3 or S2DR4, and regardless of delivery method. Some regions consume fewer credits per km².
How does processing different dates consume credits?
Credit consumption is based on the area processed, charged per date. Each date you process for the first time — recent or archival — consumes credits according to its area (one credit per km² in standard regions). Processing the same area across several dates consumes credits for each date; retrieving a date you have already processed does not consume credits again. If you expect to process frequently, larger credit packages carry a lower per-credit rate.
Do credits expire?
Unused credits expire in 24 months.
Can I start for free?
Yes. You can run S2DR for free through Google Colab — open-access, GammaEarth API Key required. A metered free allowance arrives with the credit system in October 2026. The Google Colab interface is intended for testing and evaluation purposes and is limited in functionality.
